My Love of ‘Classic Goth’.
A lot of people think that when you are a Goth it is a simple case of wearing black clothes and listening to Gothic Rock. Not true. These days there all kinds of different sub-categories that come under the umbrella term of ‘Goth’. The sort that I am into is the ‘Classic’ stuff of the eighties.

Gothic Roots.
When did the Goth image first begin? It was certainly a long time ago. There have been Gothic looking characters in films and television programmes for as long as I can remember. There was the beautiful Yvonne De Carlo in ‘The Munsters’. She played many different parts throughout her career but she will always be remembered best for her role as Lily. The Gothic Wardrobe.
The best thing about being a Goth girl is the way I can dress. My wardrobe is full of all kinds of different styles and I love to mix and match. A lot of people think that when you wear Gothic stuff it just means black. This isn’t true. Yes, a lot of Goth clothing is black; but certainly not everything. Odd One Out.
It’s tough being a Goth.
In some ways it’s great because you can dress in a way that shows how you feel. You can be different, but still fit in with a certain crowd of people. All of my friends are Goths or are into some of the music and clothes. It’s nice being around other people who like the same things as you do.

I Will Survive!
I am also one of those people who likes the idea of struggling for survival in a post-apocalyptic world, so I was really pleased to find out about, ‘The Road’. From what I’ve read about it on Fido’s Place, it sounds like it come be a really good film.

The Joy of Fear.
When you have an appetite for horror films you are always drawn to posts like; ‘Real’ Scary Film’. After reading this I shall definitely be going to watch, ‘The Fourth Kind’. There seem to be quite a few good horror movies being released in recent years that do not rely entirely on gore for their success. How Gothic Music Has Changed.
Back in the 1980s there were some great Goth bands. Some of these are still recording, but there are a few that no longer exist.
Out of the bands that I am going to mention, there are quite a few whose members would be unhappy to be placed underneath the heading of ‘Goth’. The truth of it is though, that if an album goes out sounding ‘Goth’ then there is not a lot that you can do about it.
