Born Wrong - Sometimes Abortion is The Only Option.

There are two types of people in this world. There are people who are Goths and there are people who are not. For the people who are not – this is where you need to stop reading…

I am a Goth. It is not something that I am just when I am wearing my black clothes though; it is something that I am all of the time.

When you are ‘Goth-orientated’ you have a constant and undying (or undead) fascination with all things dark. It affects everything in your life. Its’ shadowy tendrils attach themselves to you as a child and it shambles after you into adulthood.

As a child I loved spooky things. Anything that was dark, sinister or creepy held me interest. I can remember drawing endless pictures of monsters, ghosts and werewolves. I wanted to dress like a vampire and I loved the idea of sleeping in a coffin.

By the time that I had grown up nothing had really changed. In fact, my interest in dark things had grown. When I saw my first Goths (sitting together on a park bench) I knew that the image was made for me. I suddenly became aware that there were lots of other people just like me and that it was alright to be a little bit weird.

I am very thankful for that encounter. But it was not just me that benefited! Now all of the people who had previously just disliked me for being different could now identify me with a certain group and be even more insulting and hurtful. Yes, everyone was happy.

One thing I can say about about goth is they have a good look, pale and hair less. At work we had a bunch of them all save up as a group to buy a home laser hair removal kit, so they could all pass it around and look perfect. Mess up but that kind of made sense to me.
